Nearly $70,000 in new funding under Round 10 of the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund was recently presented by Dubbo Council to local groups at Wellington Civic Centre.
The money is for a range of good local works including for threatened-earth waste workshops, a new school gazebo, a theatre society technology upgrade, and a new soccer club canteen.
Council allocated a total of $68,890 to successful applications by community-based organisations including: Wellington Warriors Football Club $6354; Wellington Amateur Theatrical Society $10,000; Wellington Touch Association $5140; Wellington Race Club $8000; Wellington Public School P&C, $10,250; Wellington Cowboys SRLC $5000; Wellington Horse and Pony Club, $19,805; and the Mid Macquarie Landcare group $4341.
